The newborn course will also cover potential risk factors, safety concerns, basic newborn CPR, and social emotional factors that can impact care providers.
In home support to answer all your questions, provide support, assess the effectiveness of feeding method, assess your healing from a vaginal or cesarean delivery, and assess for any other complications. Each visit is 6 hours to fully observe and assist with two sleep-feed-awake cycles.
I had the amazing experience of giving birth to a singleton and then twins. Having twins was so much harder than I ever imagined. I wish I had the support of someone who had "been there, done that," someone who could just know, someone who could support me through my decisions rather than pushing their decisions on me. That's what I want to be for you. I want to be that educator and support you never knew you needed. I want to help make the transition to having newborn twins more efficient for you. Finding a rhythm with your babies is crucial to feeling confident and staying sane as you transition into parenthood! I have been a labor/delivery and postpartum nurse since 2012, supporting birth givers during and just after delivery, providing newborn education, feeding support, and assessing potential health concerns. As a registered nurse, I am able to assess you and your babies at home. This is huge when it's so hard to leave the house with newborns. For example, If you have been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, I can assess your symptoms at your home! As a postpartum doula-infant care specialist, I am able to provide the compassion and support that is so crucial as you transition into parenthood.
I love that I get to spend most of my time home with my three young children! Hazel (8), Morgan (5) and Mikey (5) are my world! One of the things I have learned since becoming a parent is that self care is SO important. I have found ways to fill my own cup through working as a labor nurse, supporting new families through a hard transition, date nights with my husband, sewing, crafting, and listening to my never ending list of parenting books.

My education and experience has uniquely qualified me to provide professional in-home support for new parents. This type of support is non-existent in our healthcare system. I want to fill that void.
